Welcome to paranoRMal – spring Regional Meeting!

The Regional Meeting is an internal event that brings together members of the Local BEST Groups of one Region in order to educate members, to get to know the work of the LBGs of the Region, and to prepare the delegates for the General Assembly.

Symbolically called “paranoRMal”, BEST Belgrade opened the door of its dimension after five years and hosted over 90 members from the Region and beyond. From the 5th to the 8th of April, Krupanj was the center of Region 1, known as “The Cartel”, consisting of nine Local BEST Groups from five countries: Izmir, Istanbul Bogazici, Istanbul, Athens, Chania, Thessaloniki, Skopje, Podgorica and Belgrade.

During the four days of the project, of which two were working, in the morning hours delegates had the opportunity to attend trainings on leadership, design, presentation skills, FR etc. thus improving their soft and hard skills. The afternoon of the day was reserved for getting familiar with the work of various departments at the international level, in a fun and interactive way, in the form of the International Cafe.

Although it is primarily a working event, a Regional Meeting is also an opportunity to make new friendships, to improve English language, as well as to learn about different cultures. The inevitable and favorite part of this BEST event was certainly an International Evening on which were presented traditional meals and drinks from ten European countries.

Three months of effort, work and great motivation have been invested in this project in order to satisfies all the expectations and remains memorable as unique and unusual, in other words – paranoRMal. If it is judged by the stories about the RM and the excitement while talking about them, it can be said that the new standard is set up and it only waits for some new, brave and motivated people to overcome it. Perhaps already at the next Regional Meeting. And until then… Stay weird and be paranoRMal. For a change. 😉
