How to find professional practice or employment during or after finishing studies? Unfortunately, in many cases students find their answer in going abroad. In order to contribute decrease of unemployment among younger people in our country and decrease of “brains drain”, student volunteers are organizing on 2nd and 3rd of November, eleventh time in a row, a job fair for students and bachelors of technical-technology and natural science faculties “JobFair – Create your future” in technical faculties building.
Student organizations BEST Belgrade and EESTEC LC Belgrade launched this project in 2005. with an intention to show their colleagues employment opportunities and career development in companies that operate successfully in our country.
For years, the Fair represents a bond between the education system, companies as employers and students. Student from all universities in the country will have the opportunity to present themselves to the employers, learn about the work of numerous companies and learn more about what knowledge and skills they need to develop in order to be hired. This year, companies as Microsoft Development Center Serbia, ALTI, Asseco, RT-RK, Mozzart and many others are offering practice and chance for employment. Educational part of Fair, since last year includes stands, lectures and Open Source Technology concept of workshops. Within program workshops, representatives of companies together with participants will discuss about solutions of current technological problems in the country. Interest that students all around Serbia have showed for JobFair has contributed into strengthening the national character of Fair.
Organizers for years recognize the importance of ecological aspects of technology matters. Together with green sponsors, Telenor and EMS, the Fair will this year contribute to spreading environmental awareness among young people.
