Belgrade, the host of the largest engineering competition in Europe

EBEC Final (European BEST Engineering Competition) is the third, and the same time final round of the largest  European engineering competition. Competition as it is today, was first held in 2009 and was created in  2002 and modeled after a competition held in Canada. Today students of  technical and technological professions from 88 universities from 32 countries of Europe compete on EBEC.

The final engineering competition is preceded by a local round, EBEC Belgrade – Belgrade engineers’ days which was held in Belgrade for the last 8 years, and then EBEC Balkan, competition which was also held in Belgrade this year. Students’ organization BEST Belgrade, University of Belgrade and the city of Belgrade were chosen this year to be the hosts of the final round of this competition. Belgrade will welcome more than 120  contestants  and  more than 200 volunteers in August 2016. Students of  technical and technological professions from the University of Belgrade recognize EBEC as one of the leading student competitions, this is shown by the success in the last years competition in Riga, where our competitors from Belgrade won third place. This year in Porto our representatives are students from the University of Niš and Novi Sad.
